Back by popular demand, the evening of November 5 at Lovelady Brewing Company features an exclusive silent auction, raffles, and local bites and brews, all supporting accessible spay and neuter care in Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 5, 2026) – Heaven Can Wait Animal Society (HCWS) is bringing back Ales for Tails for a second year. The in-person fundraiser takes place Thursday, November 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lovelady Brewing Company. This event brings together dog and cat lovers from across the valley for an evening of great drinks, good company, and real impact for local animals.
“Our last Ales for Tails event showed us how much our community wants to come together for animals,” said Kelly Sheehan, Development Director at Heaven Can Wait Animal Society. “People were asking about the next one before the first one was even over! This event lets us get to know more of our supporters face to face, have a good time, and share how their passion and generosity keeps pets and community cats out of the shelter system.”

The silent auction is packed with staycations, gift cards, show tickets, services, and other goodies donated by generous supporters including Resorts World, Treasure Island, MGM Resorts, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Topgolf, Yukon Pizza, and many more.
For more than 26 years, Heaven Can Wait Animal Society has provided high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping for dogs and cats across Southern Nevada. HCWS partners with shelters, rescues, and local jurisdictions across the region to accomplish their mission, and also runs a trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) program for the estimated 200,000 community cats living in the Las Vegas valley. Since 2000, HCWS has completed more than 220,000 spay and neuter surgeries.
The HCWS mission centers on “stopping the flow” of animals into overcrowded shelters. Every animal spayed or neutered prevents up to 10 puppies or kittens from being born into uncertain conditions. For every animal spayed or neutered, three fewer animals end up in the shelter system. With a single shelter intake costing communities up to $1,000 per animal, access to foundational care is one of the most effective investments a community can make.
